As a custodian firm, Selvi & Cie SA has a custodial securities house status (FinIA) granted by the Swiss financial market supervisory authority (FINMA), the supervisory authority under which it operates.

  • Mr Laurent Selvi CEO

    After business studies Laurent Selvi was trained with US and British banks, mainly in financial research and portfolio management.  With this international experience he joined the family business in 1987 where he helped oversee its development.

    As a Managing Director Laurent has been head of wealth management and development for the past 20 years.

  • Mr Fernando Menendez Manager

    Trained in accounting and finance, Fernando has gained experience as an accountant at a CPA Firm as well as in the finance department of a large multinational group.  Fernando has been part of our team since 2007 when he was hired to run the accounting/back-office functions.

    Fernando was promoted to COO in 2011 and is a member of the Executive Committee

  • Mme Nathalie Barthomeuf Manager

    After obtaining her federal diploma as a bank employee, Nathalie worked with renowned private and international banks in Geneva. She joined our Firm in 1998 as a securities middle-office employee. She rose from there to become head of trading and treasury as manager.

    Nathalie is a member of the Executive Committee.

  • Me Olivia Bennaim-Selvi Manager

    After passing the lawyer’s bar in Geneva in 1999, Olivia worked as a Foreign intern with a large law firm in NY. She thereafter obtained in 2002 her Masters degree in international law at the NYU law school as well as a diploma in business and law from the NYU STERN school of business in New York. She then returned to Geneva where she worked for a couple of years as teaching assistant at the University of Geneva. In 2005, she joined Selvi & Cie’s team as head legal and compliance officer. She simultaneously passed her TEP diploma.

  • Me Stéphanie Hodara El Bez Chairman

    Stéphanie Hodara El-Bez graduated from Geneva University’s law school and holds a Masters of Law (LL M.) from the University of Boston. She is a partner at the Altenburger Law Firm and Geneva. Admitted to the bar in Geneva and New-York, Stéphanie is specialized in banking, securities, commercial and corporate law.

    As a non-executive member she brings her considerable legal and regulatory expertise to the board of directors of Selvi & Cie SA where she supervises Selvi’s internal audit functions.

  • Mr Ghislain Wallier Director

    Ghislain was previously a VP responsible for the selection of European Head Funds as well as Macro and Quantitative strategies across all geographies for Societe Generale AM in Paris. He then joined the multibillion asset manager ALF in Paris and London where he was named CIO. He stayed in London and joined a multi-family office until he was poached by LODH in Geneva to run their Open Architecture as a Senior VP. Ghislain is now an advisor to ETS Factory and a non-executive director of EXO Investing Ltd. He brings his long investing experience to the board. Ghislain graduated from ENSAE Paris with a bachelor in Statistics and Economics as well as HEC Paris with a masters in International Finance.

  • Me Benjamin Borsodi Administator

    Double majoring in Economics and Law from the University of Geneva and holding a Master of Laws (LLM) from Georgetown University, Benjamin Borsodi has been a partner at the Schellenberg Wittmer law firm since 2002. In 2009, he became a partner at the Schellenberg Wittmer law firm, and since 2013 he has been a member of the management committee of Schellenberg Wittmer and managing partner since 2015. Admitted to the bar in Switzerland and New York, Benjamin Borsodi is head of the White-Collar Crime and Internal Corporate Investigations group in Geneva. His areas of practice cover all of business crime, international legal assistance, corporate investigations, asset tracing and recovery, as well as compliance. Benjamin is also regularly handling commercial and banking litigation.

  • Mr Laurent Timonier Administator

    Graduated with a degree in Political and Economic Sciences from the University of Geneva, Laurent Timonier became a member of the International Private Banking Council/Management at Banque Paribas (Switzerland) SA from 1986 to 1998. He continued his career as Director of International Private Banking and Asset Management, as well as a member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Commercial de France (Switzerland) SA from 1998 to 2002. He then joined the Management Board of HSBC Guyzeller from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, he became President of Nucleo Capital SA until the merger with Amadeus Capital SA in 2019, where he took on the role of Board Member. He brings 30 plus years of experience in the banking and finance industry to the Council.
